Homeless Teen Accepted to Columbia University: From Shelter to Ivy League

Eboni Boykin is a 17-year-old honor student at Normandy High School. She grew up living in various shelters, but her mother always encouraged her to want more for her life. Despite their hardships, her mother focused on showing her the finer things in life. This speaks to the power of positivity, hard work and faith. Even at her young age Boykin states some insightful and powerful words, ” I knew how far I can go. As far as, how hard am I willing to work to get something that I want?” Boykin’s hard work paid off wonderfully. Congratulations Eboni!!!
