17-year-old graduates from UT with two degrees

A soon-to-be University of Texas graduate is celebrating a little earlier in life than others.
Natasha Verma, 17, is graduating from UT this weekend with two degrees: pre-med biology and broadcast journalism.
Right now Verma is preparing for graduation as well as graduate school. She is one of the youngest Longhorns to walk across the stage in university history.

"I don't think age is a factor or a number. It's exactly what you're capable of doing. If you think you're good at something, follow through with it and, you know, do it to the best of your abilities. All that's going to matter at the end of the day is your work," Verma said.

So how'd she do it?  Natasha says she graduated from high school at the age of 15. While she was in high school she was taking dual-credit classes for college. She came into UT with an Associate's degree already.
In the Fall Verma says she will begin working toward her Master's degree in communications from Columbia University. She says she hopes to one day work in the television industry.
