Many of you may have seen the commercials for the educational product "Your Baby Can Read." I was always skeptical about the validity of the product. However, a co-worker advised me this week that his 2yr old can now read because of the product. He started his child at 18 months before introducing tv and video watching of children's cartoons and such. He alo told me that the product is for sale at Walmart. I was able to verify that it can be purchased at Walmart for $55.00 - $59.88.

There is always another side to the story, so how do you know who to trust? That's why iPRIDE is so important, its good for us to share, so our collective research can help us make wise choices. Further, the personal experience of someone you trust, weighs much more than flashy advertising or "expert" opinions.
My coworker did say there is a heavy focus on memorization, but parental involvement with reading the books help with the comprehension. He advised me that his 2yr old comprehends the reading material.
ReplyDeleteBut I totally agree..there may be two sides to this coin!
